Michael Rein is an associate with Weldon-Linne and Vogt.  He concentrates his practice on civil litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice defense. Michael handles all phases of litigation in Illinois State Court, as well as Federal District Court throughout Illinois. He handles matters for a number of insurance clients, professionals, and professional corporations.

Prior to joining Weldon-Linne and Vogt, Michael worked for the Office of the Chief Judge of Cook County, Illinois.  He served as the Law Clerk and Staff Attorney to the Honorable Thomas P. Quinn for three years, prior to working with the Honorable Patrick F. Lustig, and the Honorable James N. O’Hara at the end of his tenure with the Court.

During law school, Michael received a number of honors and scholarships. He is a CALI award recipient, a member of the Dean’s list, and a Dean’s Scholarship recipient.  Additionally, while in law school, Michael was a member of the executive board of The Journal of Computer and Information Law, the Justinian Society and the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Council. 

Michael is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, where he is a member of the Tort Litigation Committee, as well as the Judicial Evaluation Committee.
